Keynote Speaking
“Matt tells the fascinating story of his travels navigating ‘The longest Road’ from the Arctic Circle in North America to a Ushuaia on the southernmost tip of Argentina. Freezing ice road challenges, encounters with Mexican cartel gangs and numerous encounters with the unexpected along the way provide a backdrop to this extraordinary two year adventure in an old Chevrolet van. Matt tells his account with the eloquence of a natural storyteller backed up by some marvellous images of the journey. His enthusiastic presentation style and evident passion for adventure kept the sixth form audience fully engaged throughout.”
Richard Salmon – Assistant Head of Pupils, Canford School
“Matt delivered a great talk about his epic adventures in the Americas – lots of engaging anecdotes and pictures that brought the journey to life for our sixth form students. The talk prompted students to ask lots of questions at the end of the talk. It was really useful for the students to generate ideas for their own future travel aspirations, as well as learning more about routes into journalism careers.”
Ben Farndon – Head of English, Peter Symonds College
The topic was travelling along the Pan American highway, which stretches nearly 20,000 miles from Alaska to Argentina. It was spell-binding and I couldn’t take my eyes away from the brilliantly put together slideshow in case I would miss what was to happen next. Matt spoke very well and I could make out every word clearly and at the end he clearly related his journey in an educational way to important themes that are important in later life.
Tom Parsons – Assistant Head, Head of Year 8, DSL, Twyford School
Matt is promoting a new tour about his two-year expedition driving The World’s Longest Road – the Pan American Highway.
On this journey, he travelled 50,000 kilometres from the top of the Canadian Arctic to the bottom of South America through 15 countries. During his talk, he will discuss this adventure along with themes such as pursuing your dreams, persevering against all odds, and the lessons you can learn from travel.
Speaking slots will be a one hour photo presentation with an inclusive ten minute Q&A.
Matt can tailor his presentation to suit your needs, whether that be at a school, business seminar, club, or after-dinner speech. If you would like to discuss booking options or wish to know any further information, please contact Matt via the contact form below.
